Job Description
Experience
The Gymnastics Coach will provide high-quality instruction and guidance to gymnasts of varying ages and skill levels, supporting them in achieving their personal gymnastics goals. This role involves delivering safe, engaging, and following class sessions that promote skill development, confidence, and a love for the sport. The Gymnastics Coach will contribute to creating a positive and motivating environment, ensuring each gymnast feels supported and encouraged in their journey.
This position will work relentlessly to implement the Aligned Leisure purpose of connecting to thrive and win, values of AWARE, DISCIPLINED, RELENTLESS and UNITED, and associated behaviours throughout the entire team.
As a customer-facing role, the Gymnastics Coach will be required to work during key program times, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of participants and ensure program success.
Specifically this role is responsible for:
Deliver safe, engaging, and progressive gymnastics classes for participants of all ages and abilities in line with the approved curriculum and class lessons .
Support the development of gymnasts by providing clear instruction, constructive feedback, and encouragement to foster skill progression and confidence.
Ensure all sessions follow Gymnastic Victoria standards and adhere to relevant safety and child protection guidelines
Build positive relationships with gymnasts and their families to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Respond to participant and parents questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
Assist with class set-up and pack-down when required, ensuring equipment is safe, clean, and appropriately stored.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
Experience in Gymnastics Desired but not essential.
Hold the relevant Gymnastics Victoria/Australia registrations
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
The position will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks such as a Police Check and must maintain a current working with children check
