Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced People & Compliance Administrator who is people focused and values aligned to assist in leading the HR function for the fantastic 2 Bass Coast facilities. This opportunity is perfect for someone wanting to further grow their HR experience as you will have the support of an off-site People & Culture Manager who will help develop you in any required areas.

This role can be done as either casual or permanent part time, with the expectations that 15 hours are completed weekly and certain days are worked in order to undertake payroll support. This role will be paid off the Fitness Industry Award Level 6 which is $30.97 per hour plus superannuation for a part time employee or $38.71 per hour plus superannuation (inclusive of casual loading) for a casual employee.
  
The People & Compliance Administrator will ensure the efficient administration of people and compliance functions for Aligned Leisure, specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Take ownership of the payroll checks and liaise with the payroll team who will then process the fortnightly payroll.
  • Lead the recruitment activities from advertising to contract generation.
  • Assist departments with onboarding and inducting new starters.
  • Take ownership of the compliance requirements to ensure all employees meet the required qualifications.
  • Become the expert in Deputy (Time & Attendance system), train new leaders on how to roster and approve shifts.
  • Work with managers to manage underperformance.
  • Lead engagement actions to build a more engaged workforce.
  • Handle any ad-hoc employee related administrative work. 
     

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience and qualifications in business, finance or human resources will be advantageous but not a must have
  • Proven experience managing a high volume of work
  • Proven experience handling employee relation complaints/investigations
  • The role requires very high levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to be agile and move between tasks quickly
  • The position will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks such as a Police Check and must maintain a current working with children check
  • The successful applicant must hold or be willing to attain first aid and CPR qualifications
