Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established as a vehicle to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. Supported by the people and business systems of the Richmond Football Club, Aligned Leisure currently operates 32 leisure centres, community stadiums, pools, gyms, theatres and other facilities throughout Victoria and New South Wales.

We’re looking for a dynamic Food & Beverage Lead to take charge of our café operations and elevate every aspect of our service offering.
In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for:

Driving excellence in menu design, supplier management, and stock control

Leading and mentoring our team of Captains across multiple locations

This position will also undertake regular cafe shifts and must be available to work a mixture of early morning, daytime, evening and weekend hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership of the Overall Food & Beverage Team
- Lead and inspire the food and beverage team, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure consistency of service across all cafes.
- Mentor the Food & Beverage Captains
- Oversee any performance management process in conjunction with the Captains and People & Compliance Coordinator
- Foster a culture of excellence, customer focus, and teamwork.
- Develop realistic budgets for the Cafés and bars and drive revenue while also looking to minimise costs where appropriate
- Café Operations and Management
- Lead the café service across the Casey facilities.
- Work with the Captains to coordinate rosters and other HR processes.
- Present well-stocked, clean and professional services at all times to the customer.
- Prepare café plans to match anticipated customer levels.
- Ensure all reports, checklists and procedures are completed and signed off.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and liquor licensing.
- Oversee the bar facilities and work with internal teams to ensure there is adequate stock and staffing for events.
- Ensure adequate ordering for daily operations and manage stock control.
- Administrative tasks associated with managing a café function or event
- Maintain a thorough understanding of key café revenue drivers and targets.
- Implement appropriate financial controls and reports.
- Be disciplined in operational expenditure to approved budgets.
- Health and Safety of all staff and customers
- Maintain an understanding of all relevant aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Implement and document hazard and environment inspections, risk assessments, risk controls and corrective actions.
- Ensure health and safety is discussed with all staff, on every shift.
- Supplier Relationship Management.
- Build/maintaining open and transparent communication channels with suppliers
- Create and maintain an innovative menu that caters to diverse customer preferences.
- Regular inspection of the quality of products received from suppliers
- Managing inventory levels effectively and forecast demand accurately to adjust orders accordingly
- Outstanding service delivery to all customers and stakeholders
- Lead and deliver on our customer charter and service standards.
