Job Description

Mat Pilates Instructors will engage with members and guests to ensure a safe, welcoming and rewarding group fitness environment. They will support members in achieving their health and wellbeing goals by delivering high-quality, engaging, and fun Pilates classes that increase strength, flexibility, balance and member retention.

As a professional instructor, they will operate with great pride and professionalism, maintain an immaculate studio space and continually develop their skills. They will impart knowledge in accordance with their education and training, while ensuring all sessions reflect Aligned Leisure’s purpose, values and behaviours.

This position will work relentlessly to implement the Aligned Leisure purpose of connecting to thrive and win, values of AWARE, DISCIPLINED, RELENTLESS and UNITED, and associated behaviours throughout the entire team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pilates Instruction

  • Deliver professional, safe and engaging Mat Pilates classes.

  • Welcome and engage with every participant to create an inclusive, supportive environment.

  • Tailor classes to support a wide range of ages, abilities and fitness levels.

  • Encourage participants to take part in other fitness, aquatic and community programs.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Pilates methods and industry trends.

Studio Supervision & Safety

  • Ensure equipment and studio spaces are maintained to the highest standards.

  • Monitor and support correct technique and safe participation in all classes.

  • Follow all health and safety procedures, completing required checks and reporting.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Provide outstanding service to all members and guests, creating memorable experiences.

  • Actively support initiatives to retain members and attract new participants.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate IV in Pilates (Mat) or equivalent accreditation.

  • Previous experience delivering Pilates or group fitness classes.

  • Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).

  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
