Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. Job Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Delivery of Swim School and School Swimming Programs
Lead and manage all Learn to Swim, School Swimming, squad and aquatic education programs at Mildura Waves
Build strong, collaborative relationships with local primary and secondary schools to grow participation in School Swimming programs
Coordinate the planning, staffing and delivery of school swimming and water safety programs during school terms
Recruit, induct, train and performance-manage swim school and school program staff
Ensure the delivery of safe, engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with industry best practice
Maintain strong relationships with key industry bodies and service providers
Manage programs within agreed budgets
Provide accurate program information across all relevant communication channels
2. Participation and Program Growth
Maximise lesson numbers and school program utilisation
Implement a customer-centric culture where students enjoy their lessons and schools feel supported and well informed
Develop structured retention, progression and acquisition strategies across both swim school and school programs
Support promotional and engagement initiatives in collaboration with Customer Experience and Aquatics leadership
Effectively program aquatic space to balance:
Learn to Swim and School Swimming demand
Squad and lap swimming
Community access and recreation
School, club and community group use
3. Program Development and Regional Support
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aquatic and water safety industry trends
Lead and educate teaching teams on new approaches, curriculum updates and innovations
Contribute to annual program, service and asset planning
From time to time, provide leadership support and guidance for programming at Mildura’s seasonal outdoor pools, particularly during peak summer operations

Ensure all swim school staff understand and deliver on Aligned Leisure’s customer charter and service promise
Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to feedback and continuous improvement
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Experience managing swim school programs and/or school-based aquatic programs
AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (preferred but not essential)
Current or ability to obtain:
Working With Children Check
First Aid and CPR certification
Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment checks
