Job Description

This Coordinator will ensure the efficient administration of people, compliance and childcare functions for Aligned Leisure in Cardinia. They will ensure adherence to legislation, contracts and policy, working collaboratively with all stakeholders and departments. They will oversee all people systems, especially recruitment, onboarding, rostering, time, attendance, payroll and qualifications. Further to this they will also oversee compliance of the childcare program at Cardinia Life ensuring compliance to all legislation and regulations. The coordinator will work across all departments and locations in Cardinia.

The Coordinator will work relentlessly to deliver on the Aligned Leisure purpose of CONNECTING TO THRIVE AND WIN. They will ensure the entire team work within our values, behaviours and service standards model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administration

• Manage all of the administration related to people, including recruitment, personal details, performance management and compliance.

• Ensure all people documentation complies with laws, regulations, contracts and policies.

• Oversee and educate others on the use of the time and attendance system.

• Communicate upcoming people milestones to appropriate staff to ensure that they can self-manage compliance, training and qualifications; and to recognise and reward work anniversaries.

• Maintain an up to date qualification, training and document register.

• Compliance and administration of all traineeships.

• Provide reporting as required using compliance and payroll systems.

• Management of staff injury and return to work cases.

• General administrative support.

2. High Performing People

• Coordinate annual training calendar across all business departments.

• Coordinate annual employee engagement survey and drive actions from results.

• Coordinate and drive team engagement through activities that support their wellbeing.

• Coordinate annual performance cycle and performance management processes.

• Coordinate internal and external training and development opportunities.

• Administer end to end recruitment in consultation with relevant managers.

• Create awareness of employee assistance program and its benefits.

3. Cardinia Life Child care program delivery compliant to all regulations

• Oversee compliance of the child care program at Cardinia Life.

• Ensure compliance to all legislation and regulations.

• Provide support, leadership and development for Child Care Captain.

4. Administrative support to Manager and General Manager - Operations

• Provide administrative support to the Cardinia Leisure Manager and the Aligned Leisure General Manager – Operations.

5. Member of the Cardinia Leisure Senior Management Team

• Members of the Cardinia Leisure Senior Management Team will role model the values of aware, discipline, relentless and united at all times. They will instil these values throughout the organisation and ensure that all new staff are hired with these values in mind.

• Members of the Cardinia Leisure Senior Management Team will at all times act in the best interests of Aligned Leisure and Cardinia Shire Council. If at any time a member of the management team believes that these priorities are not aligned, then the situation should be escalated to the Cardinia Leisure Manager.

6. Outstanding service delivery to all customers and stakeholders

• All Aligned Leisure staff will understand and deliver on our customer charter and service promise.

The People & Compliance Coordinator may be required to undertake other tasks as directed by the Cardinia Leisure Manager or Aligned Leisure General Manager – Operations. 

Desired Skills and Experience

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years’ experience and qualifications in business, finance or human resources

• The role requires very high levels of organisation and attention to detail

• First Aid & CPR

• Working With Children Check
