Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established as a vehicle to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. Job Description
About the role
The Health & Wellbeing Officer will lead the delivery of health and wellbeing outcomes aligned to Yarra Ranges Council’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy and priorities. You will research, design, deliver and evaluate programs that improve community health outcomes, with a strong focus on increasing participation, engaging non-users and supporting priority population groups.
Working closely with Council, community stakeholders and internal teams, you will build strong partnerships and ensure programs and services are data-driven, impactful and aligned to community need.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Driving delivery of Council health & wellbeing strategy outcomes, including program design, evaluation and reporting
Building strong partnerships with schools, sporting clubs, community groups and health agencies to increase participation
Coordinating and delivering community programs and events aligned with Council priorities
Establishing data and insights processes to measure impact and support continuous improvement
Supporting clubs and community organisations to grow engagement across facilities and services
Contributing to leadership, stakeholder collaboration and outstanding customer service delivery
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
To succeed in the Health & Wellbeing Officer role, you’ll need:
Experience in health promotion, community programs, leisure, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate programs
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders including Council, schools, clubs and community organisations
A proactive, energetic and community-focused approach, with a passion for improving health and wellbeing outcomes
Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Health Promotion or similar) is desirable but not essential
A valid First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain both
In line with our Child Safety Commitment, this position may be subject to pre-employment checks such as a Police Check and must maintain a current Working with Children’s Check or equivalent.
